Rejoin EU Party comment on Nigel Farage's appearance at Las Vegas crypto-currency conference

John Stevens, deputy leader of the Rejoin EU Party and a former City currency and bond trader, commenting on Reform UK leader Nigel Farage’s appearance at the Las Vegas crypto currency conferencewhich starred Donald Trump’s two eldest sons, Eric and Donald Jnr, said:

“Crypto is now the most dangerous financial instrument for dismantling the rule of law and democracy. Speculation that it's central to the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement's plans to tackle the US's ballooning fiscal deficit, making room for further tax cuts benefiting principally rich Americans, is also already undermining trust in the dollar.

“Farage’s appearance at this event, for which only its location was appropriate, doesn't just underline the extent to which he is a vassal of President Trump's regime, but also that he and even more his backers are now intent on following the MAGA road to power and riches in Britain.

“A path which it is widely believed has already made Trump and his close associates more than $1bn since last November’s presidential election. A warning for all with eyes to see.”

The Rejoin EU Party is campaigning to re-join the EU because we believe re-joining is the only way to solve the multiple problems Brexit has created. Brexit is broken and it’s breaking our country too. All the promises on which Brexit was sold to the electorate in 2016 were nonsense. Far from reducing red tape and providing £350m a week for the NHS, Brexit makes trading with the crucial European market more complex, difficult and expensive and threatens to reduce funding for public services. If you agree Brexit is making our country poorer, less tolerant and less united, join us and send a message to Westminster that you want your EU membership back, with all its freedoms and benefits.
