By-elections happen suddenly when a sitting MP steps down or is unable to continue representing a constituency – and when they occur, all eyes turn to that seat. It's our chance to make Europe the headline issue again.
With your help, we can achieve a result that puts pressure on the Labour government and mainstream opposition parties to stop dodging the EU question.
We proved in Runcorn & Helsby that there are votes to be had by Labour in pursuing a more positive policy on Europe. Labour lost to Reform UK by just six votes and we got more than 100. If Labour had had a more pro-EU approach, some of those voters who voted for us might have voted for Labour and it would have won.
We can do this on a bigger scale in future by-elections, heaping greater pressure on Labour and other parties to re-join the EU, if we can secure the resources to do it.
